Why does Trump want to remove our 14th Amendment?

I don’t understand why Trump wants to get rid of birthright citizenship.

Imo this is one of the core values that make America so great. The fact that everyone born on American soil is American feels like a natural law. This makes America feel way more open and free.

But if even people born in America will not be considered American than what type of country are we talking about? One that’s locked up for the elite?

Is there any way we can protect our constitution?

Cheers mate, thanks for the correction. “Congress must call a convention for proposing amendments upon application of the legislatures of two-thirds of the states” is where my brain got stuck
