I would have thought so too but there is video footage of him saying that he likes a tanked economy so that he can buy it all up. He was also found tweeting hours before an announcement as a dog whistle for his buddies to buy up certain stock before the bounce back. It seems quite blatant to me.
The point isn’t the US economy. The point is stockmarket manipulation to get Trump and his friends more money.
