I can feel myself hopping off the tech train. Like when I was younger I was “the computer kid”, but I don’t find myself giving a shit about new technology like LLMs or even new smartphones.
I’ve been turning this into a new adventure by reviving all of my old tech. The other night, I installed custom firmware and homebrew stuff on my 3DS XL. I also dug out my Nexus 5 and booted it up. That thing is my permanent backup phone.
Yes. Now I’m primarily concerned with “can I get some more use out of this phone?”

Because this generational strife nonsense is the most succesful distraction from the actual class war which is occurring. If they can get people in the same exploited situation to fight amongst themselves for any reason except their economic status (age, skin colour, gender, nationality etc.), then the oligarchs have succeeded a little bit with their propaganda efforts.

Hell people born in the 90s have families and mortgages now. But I think this cutoff is people who are young enough to have grown up online, not being too badly affected by 2008, etc. Post covid has been some of the hardest times of our lives, whereas I guess people in their late 30s and 40s have gone through plenty of harsh times before, economically at least.
