Today, the Prime Minister, Mark Carney, spoke with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.President Macron congratulated Prime Minister Carney on his election. Following the Prime Minister’s meeting with the President in Paris last month, the two leaders discussed their ongoing work to deepen defence and commercial ties between their nations. They agreed to remain in close contact.
Makes sense, France is shaping up to be the EU country willing to stand up and protect it with it nuclear weapons, and we want to be closer to the EU economically. The entire EU has a lot to gain with a partnership with us as we have a clean electricity grid and are pushing for an even cleaner one. Cleaning up resource extraction to allow for a low carbon supply chain.
