Health secretary is planning wide-ranging monitoring of autistic people’s health record and cuts to disability services

Autism experts and autistic people are pushing back on Robert F Kennedy’s “terrible” approach to autism as the health secretary plans more expansive monitoring of autistic people’s health records and proposes cuts to disability services.

A huge study on autism proposed by Kennedy will draw upon private medical records from federal and commercial databases, and a new health registry will track autistic Americans, CBS News reported on Monday.

A draft of proposed cuts to the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), leaked on Wednesday, would also eliminate support for people with disabilities in the US, including education, research and services.

“It’s going to have an enormous chilling effect,” said Daniel Geschwind, professor and director of the UCLA Center for Autism Research and Treatment.

Roadkill Fucking Kennedy is gonna stop testing and claim it’s a victory because new cases went down. He eliminated the department that tracks cases of diseases. Them he’ll ship the autistic undesirables to the same wellness farms concentration camps he’s planning to send anyone using SSRIs to. See ya in the camps I guess.

They hate children, they hate adults, they hate students and teachers, they hate the poor and less powerful. Idk what else it could be at this point, with every news article furthering this thought. Everything is so backwards about this and the many steps before that got us here

RFK Jr. believes all autistic people are incapable of doing near anything and because he feels they don’t pay into the system (many do) that they as an entire demographic need to be systematically purged. This nepo baby was never punished for anything he did and now has the power to enact truly heinous shit that runs counter to healthcare. This is an administration of unqualified failson assholes who rode a gondola upward their entire lives because of the wealth and status of their forebearers. Tarring and feathering needs to make a comeback.

So in my experience, and I admit my data pool isn’t very large, autistic people are more likely to believe a friend stretching the truth, but almost never fall for ridiculous lies or outright propaganda. Put that thought in your brain for a second, and you can see why I think they’re really making a list.

Definitely not true. “You are not immune to propaganda” is true for all communities, including autistic ones.

It’s just fascists pushing out outgroups. RFK wants to demonize vaccines, so he does campaign work against the autistic community in order to justify it. If you’re thinking deeper than that, you’re barking up the wrong tree
