If full time Walmart employees need government assistance programs to afford food and pay their rent, is it not Walmart who is leaning on government assistance?

  • As cringe as liberals are, I don’t know if it’s politically savvy for a progressive writer to do a long format hitpiece on an alternative to Joe Rogan and other much worse podcasts. Clickbait in general is an accepted necessary evil on YouTube and while Meidas is potent example of how bad it looks for an outsider looking in, I don’t think that should have been the crux of the article.

The author’s criticism of Palestine coverage is valid, but making that the entire personality of the left does risk chasing away people who are already heavily biased against it from Fox, for example. It’s not great to avoid it completely, but from the sound of it, they haven’t entirely removed it from their coverage. Also, they criticize the Trump focus, but that is probably what political refugees from the right are thinking when they search for new shores.

I personally prefer Humanist Report, Vaush, and Hasan’s politics, but if Meidas is more successful, it’s easier to pull liberals than fascists to the left.

  • Because removing requirements to spend money the way congress intends is to forgo your power of the purse and this is the only thing a republican majority needs them for. Schumer is literally greenlighting the coming holocaust piggy bank all because his donors gave him a call. Disgusting fucking greedy loser.

Read the details of the agreement, this allows funds to be pulled from other projects for whatever Trump wants. 350 billion for ICE? Why not. Thanks Chuck, I’m sure the American Holocaust will take longer to get to the Jews than the last one. There was also the claim that Government employees don’t want to be folurloughed but a majority were okay if it mean congress made it harder to fire them.

  • The only ones? Most of the world agrees with the ICC. I don’t hate the Houthis for being motivated strongly against a genocide, but I don’t think their approach is targeted well at all and it seems to kinda just be what they were gonna do with or without the genocide anyways. Further, their aggression towards cargo ships is particularly problematic since this is likely to lead to 20+ day shipment delays on supplies of all types which could be vital and also closes off low margin shipments to places which may not have many options.
