and the toonies!
Please don’t abandon boycotts of this wretched company during the whole “buy Canadian” push. Loblaw may be Canadian but they don’t deserve your loonies.
They’ve needed this for a long time.
China should be one of the countries that we explore trade opportunities with, but we do not want to rely on them. Going from one dictator to another isn’t the answer.
The biggest issues in Canada right now is the lack of local processing for raw materials, lack of efficient ways of moving said goods to the coasts (where our ports are), and a miniscule (although extremely effective) military force. Canada has a lot of raw materials and plenty of energy, we’ve just gotten complacent and are used to sending it to the US for processing.
That needs to change. We cannot rely on the US. I agree with #4 in a broad sense. Canada needs to start taking its defence and security seriously
My dad has a Samsung (made by HP) printer in his office. It’s a gamble whether it will actually print something and another gamble if said print will actually have toner on it.
And the gamble is not in your favour.
I don’t think I’ve read a single headline or article in recent years where HP wasn’t being called out for being an absolute steaming pile of dog shit.
You couldn’t pay me to use their products. What a rancid company.
Overpaying.
Ditching gmail remains one of the best choices I’ve made in years.
Contact your MLA and MP. Contact your mayor and city councillors. Contact Elections Canada.
Tell your friends and family to do the same. Make noise. Make a stink.
Every bit helps.
Biometrics harvesting under the guise of “convenience”.
Unfortunately it is quite effective. People love this stuff.
I don’t recall anybody here advocating for China.
The power of weird!
That is lovely!
Indeed. I’d rather Canada grow stranger and stand on its own feet.
Between the two it would have to be China. Trump is in bed with Putin and much of what he has done to the US is to further Russia’s interests.
China and Canada have a lot more to offer each other. Outside of obvious trade opportunities, I would imagine China would love to have an increased sphere of influence that sits right at the US border.
Gutting and stripping every single public service and government asset and selling it off to the first person that asks.
And then giving the money to his pals.
