But being good to your neighbors and doing direct action like volunteering will make a huge difference, and you don’t need the news for that!
Deepseek only has censorship on their hosted site… if you run the open source model on your own hardware it doesn’t seem to censor
Do you really think you’re telling me something I don’t already know? Do you think I’m that stupid? Seriously? Have some respect for my intelligence. Consoles are better at the job of being an easy, affordable, simple-to-use solution that just works. They have physical media (at least the PS5 does) for releases that can still be traded and it’s just simple. I don’t want to have to deal with Linux or Windows when I’m trying to play a racing game with my friends in the living room. I don’t want to have to fight with bluetooth for the controllers or anything like that. You can do whatever you want with PC, yes, and consoles are little more than PCs with special software (PS5 uses some sort of BSD fork, Nintendo uses Android lately, and Xbox is using something Windows-based) but it’s the curated simple easy-to-use experience that I’m after. When I’m playing RTS or MMO games I’m using PC, for sure. But for everything else if I can’t enjoy it on PS5 then I need a different hobby.
Yep, and that works for some folks. For me, I prefer to keep my games and my PC separate where applicable (Obviously except specific titles that are simply better with a keyboard) and I like to enjoy my fancy surround sound system and big TV for gaming experiences on the console. Sure the graphics aren’t as good and there isn’t much in the way of modding, but that’s okay for the way I consume games. There’s also the appeal of just loving a certain console’s library
If you’re living in a home with modern wi-fi and fiber Internet, the latency isn’t much worse than a typical 4K TV outside of its built-in game mode. For many, many titles on console, this type of input lag is acceptable.
Admittedly I know the product isn’t very popular, but for those who enjoy PS games, it’s a pretty neat device.
Personally I just keep stuff on my PS5 and if I can’t be in my living room I guess I’ll wait to play :-)
It helps that I also own a Steam Deck
I would assume it’s because they would like to play PlayStation games, not PC games.
This is very likely the plan here, but at the same time, we should be very alarmed
I’m not taking your gish gallop bait pal. You know what you’re doing.
I don’t think even the most talented surgeon can get your head out of your ass, I’m sorry.
Kill the tsar they send another
It’s not about the actual move here. It’s about what this signals. It’s a flashing warning sign: Trump does not give a flying fuck about Palestine, and he is willing to do favors for genocidal maniacs on demand.
Biden got a ceasefire. The deal went through days before Trump got in. He did fuck all except win, thus creating favorable conditions for Bibi. Read a book
The vast majority of people who criticized Kamala online still voted for her. They knew the cost.
The problem is voters who don’t pay as close of attention, who only vote based on single issues, which we have a lot of in the USA.
You read: “At least we don’t have Genocide Joe! (Sarcasm indicated)”
You responded to: “Those damn Palestinians costing us the election! How dare they!”

Yeah, and with the added context of other things Meta has done over the past few days, we can plainly see what this is about.
I suppose I’m just seeing how even Twitter has had success with community notes, and figured it would be the same on Facebook. But it’s easy to forget just how… out there Facebook is these days.
I don’t know what the “International Fact-Checking Network” is and I doubt most Facebook users do. The type of person using Facebook is going to likely trust notes written by their peers more than things that come from “on high” (meaning Facebook themselves)
Honestly not a bad idea. The community notes are easier to trust and typically more accurate anyway.
I just like seeing them fight.
