Republicans have spent my entire life defending the second amendment under the guise that it is the only way to stop a tyrannical government. Not sure why, but I feel like this is should be relevant to Americans these days.

What about Canada? We barely ship any drugs or contraband south and yet 90% of the guns used in violent crime here come from the USA. Most of them come from states that aren’t even near the border. More Canadians have been killed by American arms than Americans could ever be killed by Canadian drugs. The problem is the USA wants to act like some paragon of justice while also encouraging instability in their neighbours and refusing to admit their addiction to guns is a cancer to all of civilized society.

He’s the premier of Ontario, our most populated province. Basically our version of a governor by USA standards. He also has more in common with Trump than not. There are a few political factors here that will make it very hard for him to win an election when the next one was scheduled, so he’s pulled a snap election early as a desperate attempt to stay in power. Expect to see more of his dumb ass until we vote at the end of the month, longer if this tariff bullshit continues.

I literally just spent an extra hour doing my weekly grocery order to make damn sure not a single item was sourced or made by anything USA. Now that I’ve gone through that effort, I won’t be going back. I have no reason to believe Trump won’t change his mind on a whim like usual anyways. If we all do our part in this way, even the rich will feel some consequences from supporting this madman.

I’ve been asking people this a lot lately just to be sure there’s no fascists in my orbit. Thankfully everyone has answered Nazis so far.

I don’t recall saying anything about even attempting to change his behaviour, anyone with half a brain knows that’s a lost cause. The point is being a thorn in his side. He clearly cares or he wouldn’t invest the time and money into these games.

This goes against the TOS for both games. If you play either, I highly recommend flooding them with reports on that. It would be great to see him banned. He’ll probably just set up a new account and start again, but it’ll cost him and you know he’ll keep cheating so you can just rinse and repeat.

The NDP has been stuck much longer than that through little to no fault of their own. The media spun Rae days into such a monster that very few of my elders will even consider voting NDP and they vote in much higher numbers. While I agree a new leader is a good idea, they would have to succeed at either erasing Bob Rae’s memory or drastically increasing voter turnout to do any better than they are now. I say this as someone who has voted strictly NDP for the past 20 years and volunteered for them in the last two elections.

The saddest part is I have yet to encounter a Canadian who complains about Bob Rae that was actually affected by Rae Days. When you read into it, Rae Days were a fair attempt at keeping people employed during tough times. I am completely convinced that any other party would’ve done a much worse job with that situation.

For any Canadians on the fence with their vote, please consider the NDP. We all spend the majority of our lives working and the NDP is the only party primarily focused on improving our work lives. The rest of their policies are pretty decent and they’re open to a good suggestion if you have ideas. While red and blue continue to simp for oligarchs, our orange friends simp for unions. Also look into how much of Trudeaus policy was improved by the NDP forcing changes to bills before they would vote for them. I am convinced they are currently our only option for real progress in this country and I hope you can be convinced too.
