If you are afraid someone gets access to your computer and then has a ready to use backdoor in that app and you can lose valuable prose, then use something different.
If not, what else are you worried about?
Chill, she is ignorant, not you
You are being ignorant not the other commenter.
Just because you think a word is offending anyone somewhere doesn’t mean that the person who used that exact word intended to be offensive against someone anywhere in the world.
The word just has a different meaning to some people.
Yes.
I wouldn’t do it without tests and “enough” experience.
I would backup first.
Then I would install an atomic distro because I wouldn’t want to care about this ever again
I’ve got an android
Op didn’t say what she wants to do. I maintain my server with my phone. If I really wanted to, I could also work on it efficidntly
Just use a phone?
Use docker compose. Not docker directly. All services have a good docker compose file somewhere online. If not, you may not use the service as a beginner (unless you want to spend a significant time writing everything which is of course good, but you do not have to)
It’s the best beginner distro for those beginners who want to learn about linux.
And nice gui apps, default settings, nice community and cool branding.
It’s better than whatsapp, imo.
Yes, signal and matrix are better but at least it’s not facebook.
It reads as if fedora wanted to created a broke package. As if it was on purpose to annoy everyone. Do you think that was their intention?
Confidentally incorrect.
Flathub has nothing to do with this
Why don’t you like fedora flatpaks?
Among other reasons, Fedora ensure that apps get a flatpak. Imagine there was no official flatpak, fedora would’ve made one. Just like fedora ensures that there are native ways to install it via dnf. On atomic distros, you want to use flatpaks very often. Hence it makes sense to package apps via flatpak.
Fedora ensures that there is not additional code in the app kind of like fdroid on phones.
Anyone can make flatpaks, not just the main dev.
What is the lesson we can learn here as stated by the author of the post?
A messy situation but hopefully one some lessons can be learned from.
There is no info why packaging failed. I can’t draw any obvious lesson from this post
Finally satisfied?
