We need to stop framing the solution as more transit, more bike lanes and congestion pricing and start talking about requiring people to work from home. Stop normalizing spending billions just to put butts in seats.

Aussie pilot.
Given your username, I thought you’d have gone with Master Blaster.
This is my hole, it was made for me!
Canada has been spending billions to attract EV manufacturing in Ontario and Quebec. BYD’s heavily subsidized cars threaten to upend those investments, and tariffs are an appropriate response.
Then we shall turn this continent into an orgy of maple syrup!
Doc: That’s an interesting name, Mr…
Fletch: Babar.
Doc: Is that with one B or two?
Fletch: One. B-A-B-A-R.
Doc: That’s two.
Fletch: Yeah, but not right next to each other, that’s what I thought you meant.
Doc: Isn’t there a children’s book about an elephant named Babar.
Fletch: Ha, ha, ha. I wouldn’t know. I don’t have any.
Doc: No children?
Fletch: No elephant books.
This particular article doesn’t mention that this was a Canadian government plane and an international incident. I think that qualifies.
All well and good, I just highly doubt it is common knowledge that the US, a country with a much larger population and much more hospitable growing conditions than ours, apparently grows no mustard seed for all the mustard they produce for both countries. French’s goes out of their way to note their use of Canadian ingredients on their bottles, likely as a result of our last little go round with the US. We could really stand to see more of that right now, since our supply chains are so intertwined. With a lot of products, we have to choose what combination of Canadian ownership, manufacturing, or parts/ingredients, if any, that we’re willing to accept. Knowing at a glance is a pretty big advantage. Wish we’d get some help from more stores on that front.
But a pretty easy time finding mustard that doesn’t say it uses Canadian mustard seed, so…
The one product I needed tonight from this list doesn’t like it is listed correctly. PC mustard is product of USA. I passed on it and bought French’s because it at least uses Canadian mustard seed. And fuck Galen Weston anyway.
Government is outsourcing a whole lot of work to AWS. Time to fix that.
In case you want to use it more than once.
I was recently considering them while shopping for an EV, but then discovered the reason their offerings are so subpar is that Subaru tethered themselves to Toyata for EV development, and Toyota is obstinately years behind the technology leaders in the field. Tesla was the frontrunner for EV range for many years, but others (not Subaru) have caught them now. And as Tesla never fixed their build quality problems, they’re second tier at best now. I concur, I would buy a Subaru ICE car, but I may never have to buy one of those again.
Yeah, they announced Friday there was almost 72M left in the fund, so apparently they sold 16K cars this weekend and ran it dry. Except with the cancellation today, dealerships are being told that unless the car was delivered before the announcement, those people aren’t getting the credit. Since you usually don’t drive away in your car on the day you buy it, it sounds like lots of awkward calls are going out today. TC says they will dole out the remainder on a first come first serve basis, so some may get ot and others won’t. I wonder what happens to the money for those who still go through with their weekend purchase without the bonus. Huge windfall for the dealers when they get the rebate and don’t tell their customers?
Windows on Linux though. Guy probably has Wine in his cup holder.
Because that is just one use of the Mode button. Pressing it changes what the port LEDs indicate, so cycling it lets you see status, speed, duplex, PoE status, etc. without having to connect to it. That isn’t easy without a raised button. Clear could have been separated as a pinhole and that would have been fine, but this stupidly placed button would still have been useless this way anyway.
