Local owl watching doesn’t always need to be done deep in the forest. Woodland Park Zoo has had a fantastic raptor flight program for years. One of my first memories of an owl was an adult Spectacled Owl that flew over my head during the flight show. Last summer, the zoo raised this inquisitive youngin’, it was fun to watch his antics.
