Apart from the obvious “arresting a senator for asking questions” thing, is whatever’s happening on this picture standard procedure for arresting an unarmed, unthreatening person in the US? It looks like they’re arresting a terrorist or a dangerous suspect
I have. In their current state, they are at the bottom of the list of lives that I care about, with every other living organism on the planet above them. If they work to remove the corrupt, fascist, and clearly unregulated members and leadership from their ranks, then I will reevaluate, until then they can stay there.
Yeah, cops are racist as fuck. But they will gladly beat up anyone. Threaten too. I remember when I was a lot younger talking to a cop (i did’t know better at the time.) and suddenly he starts resting his hand on his holster and looking at me weird.
Prosecutors would definitely take that to trial, for sure. But it also depends on your jury. Being acquitted is definitely more likely as the days go by now. A lot of people no longer give law enforcement any sort of benefit of the doubt, often the exact opposite now.
You just need 1 member of that jury to decide that way and refuse to change their position to hang the jury, and then the prosecutors have to decide whether to bother with a retrial and do it all over again. Any time the first jury is unable to decide, that weighs heavily over any subsequent trial, whether it’s supposed to or not.
Fucking hate cop talk. The language they use in their reports is disgusting. They probably have a template that they just slightly modify. Template is already full of lies.
He stood up and announced he was a US Senator. The very first thing he did was identify himself. If they’re deaf then they shouldn’t be on active duty outside a desk job.
When 99% of the police is weaker fatter and more out of shape than the “criminal” this is how they have to do it or everyone would just escape. Handcuff fat ass has the arm rotation of a dollar store action figure and is already out of breath from having to bend down. You can see it in the video.

No normally. I think they throw a knee on the neck for 9 to 10 minutes.
Got to do it for the officer’s safety, asshole!
Have you thought about the blue lives?!
Thought about it. Still wanna grab em by the throat stab them.
Or whatever that Eminem song said
Oh man, that was guilty conscience and I think technically it was a dre song.
YAS KING

that’s their technique for arresting black people
not 100% standard. but yeah, pretty standard. If its a rich white dude, generally the arrests are a lot gentler.
Nah bro. Don’t divide us like that just before the protests. We all get fucked up. Fuck the police.

FYI, in many states that action is very explicitly defined as Assault.
Yeah, but if I pulled my gun out and blasted his pig ass I am not going to get off on self defense.

well it was in 2010 and I was living in a rural backwater so…
What state? Nothing shows up in a quick search. That could be considered ‘brandishing’ in my state which is a crime but certainly not assault.
that rich white dude better respect the authorita, boy
the rich white dude is the authorita.
Not the one running that mouth, technically that’s an ally
Do you recognize the genocide in Gaza?
Authorities are claiming they were unable to know who he was at the time, and treated him as a potential threat.
You are going to get to hear that kind of verbiage a lot over the next few years
They were only following orders
happily

Of course they have a template, cops can barely read or write, they wouldn’t be able to report anything without serious hand-holding.

I’d like to hear (from the Authorities) what identified him particularly as a threat amongst all the other people in the room.
This is almost copy pasted from the shit they actually re saying.
The standard procedure involves metal hitting the back of the skull until enough blood comes out that the victim can’t remember what happened.
guilty of terrorism until proven innocent
Their training tells them that everyone is a dangerous suspect.

They shoot to kill the latter two
