Maybe she should move to South Sudan or Somalia if we’re so much worse off than them.

Really don’t have to go as far as all that, the US is a pretty glaring example of poor living standards. Going to the doctor won’t bankrupt your citizens, for one thing.

To be fair I think she clearly meant in the OECD, where we are second to last behind Luxembourg in GDP per capita growth, falling well short of inflation.

Meanwhile we are capping ourselves to lower our own standard of living and not even fighting climate change to do so, as we perform mass immigration to hide falling productive growth.

This then largely falls on the poor whose rents doubled and who are overwhelming the food banks. The rich already own a home and they invest outside of Canada, which Caroline Rogers has then increasingly warned about our diminishing investment into Canada.

I guess I’m tired of assuming what conservatives might have meant when they say things.

There’s lots of legitimate criticisms, but we are far from the worst country in the world.

I agree with you. Conservatives purposely being vague all the time so they can deny their words later. They are purposely being vague so their base can then “fill in the blanks” with whatever spin they wish.
