i get it that sales tax can be withheld, but i pay my income tax directly to fed. if gavin can stop this, though, im down.

indeed. california is one of the few states that gets fewer services than we pay for from fed (its close, but is something like 97%). withholding that funding wont be super effective, but its taking a stance of allowing fed to understand what is acceptable.
sending the national guard and ice to stop peaceful protests against ice is unacceptable
I’m not sure how this is even possible but I’m dying to see how the federal government would react once this hit them.
