The BOP has never had a formerly incarcerated inmate work as an employee at any level, according to a senior bureau official.

This is actually wild. I’m sure this guy is not someone to pick up break that streak, but you’d think they’d hire at least some people that have experienced the system.

Edit: after reading the article I don’t see any major red flags about the guy. Might actually be a decent hire for once.

Well, I guess at least this one has some relevant experience.
