That probably played some part as well I’m sure. But having done some sets with Punk/ psychobility. The tracklist is usually double that of a regular set. Which isn’t a big deal if you just picking things out at random and just playing whatever. But if you’re actually planning a set out. It’s twice the work for the same amount of time.
Remember when we were talking about Jeff Mills a couple weeks ago? That’s exactly what made/makes him such an outstanding techno DJ. Not the music he composed, but that he’d only play a minute or so of each song before mixing in another.

You can’t really “mix” punk songs like that tho, it’d be too much energy for too long a time, there’s a reason the songs are that short.
