The way they quoted “genocide in Gaza”, for some reason, my mind thought that it was a limited ice cream flavor and I was trying to figure out what the pun was. Grahamacide? Jamacide?

One of those rare occasions where something in such terrible taste is fucking delicious.

Unilever does business in illegally occupied Palestine and their words with the issue is like Lindsey Graham’s words with political issues: whichever way the wind blows. Focus on actions, words don’t mean anything, and I’m beginning to wonder if they ever did.

This is Ben snd Jerry’s, not Unilever. Unilever does business in the occupied territories against the wishes of the Ben and Jerry’s people.

They should’ve considered that when they sold out their hippie ideals for corporate profits. Too late now.

So we’re faulting them for a decision that was sound based on the data at the time, because something changed externally to render it less sound?

Is that what we’re doing? Have you ever made any decisions based on 80% certainty and it turned out differently? Please also include the punishment you’ve self-assigned to address the now-foolish choice, and how you intend to only select absolutely confirmed 100% perfect choices in the future.

After all, that’s what you seem to be requiring of the ice cream people.

That’s not what it is at all. The hippies sold out and were shocked when it didn’t go their way.

They did put in some safeguards that kept things running fairly insulated for a couple decades.

But anyone could have guessed it wouldn’t be permanent, I am not sure if they were kidding themselves or what. You can’t make a corporation moral.

I like their company. Just wish their product wasn’t all these bizarre unappealing flavours.
