Whilst there are definitely cowards who are bowing to Trump (and will likely come to regret the fate that such subservience will earn them), there are plenty who intend to do their jobs as judges, but are also terrified for their family’s safety. Whilst it’s true that there are many who are terrified under Trump’s regime, it seems like the MAGA machine is especially focussed on judges and other jurists, having identified them as one of the most significant obstacles to the solidification of MAGA power

These judges accepted the role, let them fight for us. Now is the time for the judiciary to step up. Yes, they and their families may be in danger, I would say they are in danger. Step up!

I sleep with my AR-15 by my bed and a Colt .45 in my desk drawer. I practice with both, often. And my various shotguns. My wife is a legal brown alien. I may well die defending her against masked men (we all know who I mean). I’ve accepted that. Need I expand?

Some people are going to make fun of you for that, but good on you for being willing to defend your family like that.

If more people were this would be over by now

Judges know full well how to utilize the legal system. If people are threatening them, they can easily contact state police or the FBI. If Trump’s lackeys are violating court orders, they know exactly how to initiate contempt proceedings.

If judges aren’t doing those things, but they are still scared, then their cowardice is the worst kind, because it’s both selfish and self-defeating, but much more importantly, it’s screwing over the rest of us who rely on them to regulate the Executive Branch.
