An internal email obtained by ProPublica said the agency made the change to be “consistent” with a Trump executive order. But at least two other federal law enforcement agencies are still requiring body cameras.

The executive order I want to see is that body cameras will be used as a punch clock. You are only considered “on duty” and getting paid while your camera is running.

Any action you take with your camera off is as a private citizen, and is not covered by qualified immunity.
