    Towards the end of this video, he says “the United States of America is the longest-standing democracy in the world”. My geopolitics are a bit rough, so genuine question: is it?

      I haven’t really woken up yet but kinda depends on your definition. I’d say not, but I’m not going to argue with Bernard.

      Since the greek invented democracy it’s kinda hard to have a longer standing democracy. Maybe it’s some technicality like: they weren’t a democracy for 6 days in 1902 or something.
