Is it possible to follow communities in an instance like https://libreddit.kavin.rocks/r/ProfessorMemeology with a lemmy client?
You’d probably have to jump through several hoops to make that happen. Libreddit doesn’t offer any ActivityPub API to follow directly, or even RSS feeds that might be used by a bot to post updates to Lemmy.
But subreddits still provide an rss feed, just add
/.rssat the end, like this should work with any rss reader: https://www.reddit.com/r/fediverse/.rss So theoretically it should be possible, until they shut this “loophole” downYeah, I don’t know anything about the state of open Reddit endpoints. Seems they’re intent on closing down non-Google/Gemini access to some of them? 🤷
But if the
/.rss“hack” helps setting up a Lemmy bot or at least track the communities with a feed reader, that’s a small victory I guess?

There is some delay in federation, so it’s possible that some users saw both of your comments. I remember once got upvotes on a comment I deleted instantly.
