The sun had just set when the battle between the Peregrine Falcon and the Snow Owl began. The battle didn’t last very long and if it wasn’t for the speed of the Falcon the snowy would have had a rare evening meal.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe myself!
After looking at thousands of owl photos over the last 2 years of doing this, I’m still amazed almost every day off a moment in time someone was able to capture.
And that’s just owls! We really live on an amazing planet.
btw, the work you do bringing us new owls to observe is truly a joy, thank you so much anon6789!..
That’s my favorite thing to hear from you guys! 🥰
I’ve got few new surprises coming up. If you like giant plumicorns or the tiny Saw Whet, don’t go too far!
Also, not to be a pest about it, but if you haven’t participated in the .World charity giveaway, if you want to vote for me in that, it can get us a little help for the owls at the rehab I’m at. We currently have 2 red Screeches going home soon and 1 GHO education bird. His name is Elliot.

Hurray! Thank you!
Thank you for the owls, they make my day a little better 🥰
Then l will keep 'em coming! 😉
What’s your favorite owl these days? I’m partial to great horned owls myself but I also love screech owls… barn owls and their cousin species kind of freak me out, though, something about their faces is beautiful but alien at the same time!
I recently made a short trip to see a Snowy Owl and while they live up to all the Internet hype, I was so surprised to see an Australian Boobook there and I got to hold it!
I had no idea it was going to be there and I felt like the only one to have known how exciting it was to be seeing an owl from the opposite side of the Earth! It was a public event at a park so it was mostly people with little kids, not mega owl nerds like myself.
Getting to see both of them in person moved them up a few marks.
I’ve also been really appreciating the Short Eared and Barns Owls as well. Barn Owls can be a challenge to appreciate with their more alien features, but they can either be a beautifully haunting forest spirit, or there are other Tyto owls like the Sooties that may help you get used to their looks.
