Ofcourse not, it’s because they’re being bribed by oil companies.

MAGA is really a billionaire movement wrapped in what looks like a populist movement based primarily only on anger, hate, and oppression. I do not think bribes are needed. It is built-in.

The bribes are real, and since it’s a billionaire movement, they have the means to keep the cash flowing. The anger, hate and oppression is the tool to get people to vote them in, or at least to stop people voting them out.

If it was only about money, we’d be able to collectively bribe them for cheaper eggs, gun control, environmental protections, affordable healthcare, or other popular policies…

Sure, but you’d have to be able to outspend Exxonmobile, the NRA, “big tech”, health insurance companies and whatever Musk is. Meanwhile you have to maintain solidarity in your collective while somehow staying solvent.

In theory, absolutely. But some politicians are on record accepting a couple thousand and then voting for the giant corporation’s written legislation. Maybe we could crowd-source an amount they’d consider with it to change positions…? But others *cough* Trump administration *cough* aren’t looking to win another election. Their corruption is now about control.
