Labor scarcity drives innovation & increases standards of living by driving up the value that workers can demand in exchange for their time. It’s simple economics.
If they did, the prices for groceries would skyrocket and make Trumps “promise” to bring the prices down completely impossible to achieve.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a Trump promise that was actually achievable.
I bet he plans to use prison labor. And to make new laws aimed at incarcerating minorities and the poor.
I don’t think it’ll be a free market, unfortunately. They’ll create a sub class of citizens from immigrants wanting the work and it’ll be cheaper than ever.
