Firefighters were responding to a blaze in the panhandle of Idaho when the shooting happened, a sheriff said. The body of a suspect was recovered on Sunday evening.
I’ll note that the Aryan Nations Nazi compound used to be in the area. They ultimately lost control of it after the SPLC sued them for shooting at people. The buildings were donated to local firefighters, who burned them as part of practice. The shooting happened on the anniversary of that burning.
It’s still a gun problem.
It’s a Nazi problem and a gun problem. The US has major problems with both, and hardly wants to admit it.
I’d take an unarmed Nazi over an armed one any day.
Also, yes, criminals can get guns when they’re illegal. But if they’re illegal, it’s a lot harder, and there are a lot fewer guns out there. And also a lot fewer guns coming up into Canada. So screw the second amendment – your president and his supporters don’t care about the rest of the constitution anyway.
