Federal officials and a congressman said National Guard soldiers deployed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott did not allow Border Patrol agents to attempt to rescue the migrants.

A woman and two children drowned in the Rio Grande on Friday while trying to enter the U.S. near a section of the southern border where Texas National Guard soldiers have prevented federal Border Patrol agents from processing and rescuing migrants.

    This crime occurred when people were crossing the border. The FBI needs to get involved and charge all involved with giving the order and physically restraining the agents with two counts of murder, and all present (excepting the Border Patrol agents) with accessory to murder.
