  • On March 30, the Green Party submitted a request to the PBO for a comprehensive costing of all federal financial support for fossil fuels and fossil fuel-related projects—support that is often dispersed across a wide range of departments and agencies. This included funding through agencies such as Export Development Canada, the Strategic Innovation Fund, the Canada Infrastructure Bank, and various regional development agencies.

In a letter released today, Parliamentary Budget Officer Yves Giroux responded:“I regret to inform you that we are unable to complete the requested cost estimate for the elimination of all federal government financial support for fossil fuels due to insufficient time and a lack of pertinent information.”

So the Greenz gave the PBO less than a month notice for the request and failed to provide all the pertinent information needed to fulfill the request.

Sounds like the Greens are failing to play the game of thrones, so they’re resorting to ridiculousness instead.

  • While Ford publicly maintains he will work with whoever is in power in Ottawa, insiders suggest he may privately find it easier to work with the federal Liberals under Mark Carney, who Ford has praised as an “extremely astute business mind”.

Carney’s intelligence far surpasses Drug Fraud’s, and I don’t think the Fraudster truly understands that.

    But he will soon enough.

Mark my words, if/when Carney wins the election Druggie will learn the hard way just how difficult his life is gonna be for the next 4 years.

  • He doesn’t play word games like every other politician does. Like during the debate Singh caught him offguard by ‘correcting’ an error he made … but it was a nothing burger mistake.

I really like Carney, and that comes from watching him speak during the 2008-09 recession. He says what he means and means what he says. He doesn’t sugar-coat the bad stuff, nor does he elevate the good stuff for his own benefit.

It’s been a long time since we had a chance to elect someone who is honest as the day is long. I’m hoping we take advantage of the opportunity.
