But lawyers for the government argued in Martin’s case that courts shouldn’t be “second-guessing” law enforcement decisions.
Bullshit. That should be a prime job of SCOTUS … holding power to account.
And as always, ACAB.
Here’s hoping you’re right. Maybe all those who helped find the Jan 6th rioters will jump on this bandwagon.
That’s what happens when people read about others being sent to El Savadorian prisons and think it may happen to them.
On March 30, the Green Party submitted a request to the PBO for a comprehensive costing of all federal financial support for fossil fuels and fossil fuel-related projects—support that is often dispersed across a wide range of departments and agencies. This included funding through agencies such as Export Development Canada, the Strategic Innovation Fund, the Canada Infrastructure Bank, and various regional development agencies.
In a letter released today, Parliamentary Budget Officer Yves Giroux responded:“I regret to inform you that we are unable to complete the requested cost estimate for the elimination of all federal government financial support for fossil fuels due to insufficient time and a lack of pertinent information.”
So the Greenz gave the PBO less than a month notice for the request and failed to provide all the pertinent information needed to fulfill the request.
Sounds like the Greens are failing to play the game of thrones, so they’re resorting to ridiculousness instead.
While Ford publicly maintains he will work with whoever is in power in Ottawa, insiders suggest he may privately find it easier to work with the federal Liberals under Mark Carney, who Ford has praised as an “extremely astute business mind”.
Carney’s intelligence far surpasses Drug Fraud’s, and I don’t think the Fraudster truly understands that.
But he will soon enough.
Mark my words, if/when Carney wins the election Druggie will learn the hard way just how difficult his life is gonna be for the next 4 years.
He doesn’t play word games like every other politician does. Like during the debate Singh caught him offguard by ‘correcting’ an error he made … but it was a nothing burger mistake.
I really like Carney, and that comes from watching him speak during the 2008-09 recession. He says what he means and means what he says. He doesn’t sugar-coat the bad stuff, nor does he elevate the good stuff for his own benefit.
It’s been a long time since we had a chance to elect someone who is honest as the day is long. I’m hoping we take advantage of the opportunity.
It’s the rule. Please change the title to exactly what is on the link.
This is excellent news. I hope it isn’t too late.
Please change the title to the one that is in the link.
It’s working for me.
Number 1, just because I have small hands.
I hope we do 'cause otherwise we’re fucked. :/
This is what happens when you elect centre-right politicians to lead your supposedly democratic nation.
He does sound like that sometimes but other times not.
BC’s NDP is a much different creature than either the federal or provincial NDP elsewhere in Canada.
He doesn’t care about anyone but himself. As long as he’s the centre of attention and making millions illegally, he’s happy.
Don’t forget he’s also dealing with his trial for bribery, fraud and breach of trust. That’s gotta weigh heavy on his non-existent conscience.
Penn’s theory is that at some point during its race, No. 9,550 decided to rest on a cargo ship and hitched a ride across the Atlantic.
Rich = Powerful tho.
