The poll found that more than 60 percent of all voters now support deportation of undocumented migrants, with Hispanic voters showing a notable uptick. In contrast, 34.7 percent opposed deportations, and four percent were unsure. Among Hispanic voters, 50 percent supported deportations and 48 percent opposed. There was a seven percent increase in overall support since May among this demographic, with an 11 percent rise among those who said they “strongly support” the policy. Among Black voters, 53 percent supported deportations, while 37 percent opposed. Overall support among this demographic increased by three percent since May. Meanwhile, support among White voters was 65 percent, while 31 percent opposed. Overall support fell by three percent since May.
You’re assuming that LEGAL immigrants would be deported, but the LEGAL immigrants are just mad that they put in the enormous amount of effort to go through the LEGAL channels while the ILLEGAL immigrants basically run roughshod and make a mockery of their efforts.
You mean illegal migrants get deported less than legal ones because they’re harder to find?
I’m merely stating that when you work hard to do something the right way, seeing somebody get what you got by breaking the law is frustrating. It’s human nature.
Those people aren’t “getting what you got” though. They’re getting a life on the run, living scared, trying to stay under the radar. Pretending like they’re getting anything even remotely similar to what legal immigrants get is ignorant and exactly what those that are in support of this bullshit want you to think.
Living on the run because they’re breaking the law. Lots of people don’t like when people break the law. But I’m just telling you what legal immigrants are likely to think and why they may support the deportation of illegal immigrants.
Certainly is, it must hurt even more when you put in all the effort to do things officially and jump through all the hoops and then they send you to an El Salvador torture camp anyway. Because that is what actually happens. They just slap some bogus charge on you if people complain about it, to make the deportation seem warranted.
I won’t argue the merits of the current administration’s methods. I haven’t actually stated my beliefs. I’m just pointing out some reasoning that legal immigrants will definitely use in their internal calculations on what to support.
