The pro-Russian ruling party at the time was cracking peaceful protestors’ skulls, so they started wearing helmets. And then, the helmets became proof that they were up to something violent somehow, and they tried to make helmets illegal. Within about a month it was street battles, fireworks and small arms and bow and arrows.
If you don’t submit to your skull bashing you aren’t being peaceful enough.
So it’s now a crime to give stuff to people that might use it for a crime?

Straw purchasing firearms is illegal to my knowledge. I recall reading the issue is it’s not prosecuted enough though
It is 100% legal to gift guns to anyone that can legally own them in most states. They have to determine intent in a straw purchase, but also that’s not the issue.
The issue is that they are giving someone an item legally and then are arrested because the person they gave it to may use it for a crime

What is a face shield in this context? A surgical mask? I’m pretty sure he wasn’t just handing out $400 ballistic face shields.

EDIT: So there are other articles saying it was this riot police like visor being given out. There’s a video of a box on the floor being zoomed in on with the pickup in the backgroind, but didn’t see the person in the pickup hand them out. Also it states two women were in the truck handing them out, so this guy is the driver or the mastermind or what?
