I’m in my 40s and really relate to this. Perimenopause is imminent, cost of living is awful, etc etc. What’s your age brackets difficulties?

I’m 40, I’ve just taken on crushing life-long debt in the hopes of having a roof over my head when I’m no longer able to work, but after singing “Independent Women!!!” all weekend, I can’t figure out how to get the cap off my washing machine drainage pipe, and now I can’t decide whether to just sit down and cry, or sit down with Angie’s List and cry, or have a go at the pipe myself and cry after fracking it up. 🤔

    Decisions, decisions…

Have a cry, then take a photo of what the cap looks like and ask what the right course if action is on Dad For A Day or whatever it’s called.

You can fix it, you just need to know how.

In my late 20s, my metabolism has left the building, and I got my first and hopefully only vericose vein.

I still work at the entry-level job I got out of college where my wages are starting not to cut it, and I haven’t gotten a raise in three years. Also starting to think about how I’ll retire and whether I’ll ever own a home.

It’s a bit harder to make friends now, and my existing social circles are starting to drift apart as people move, get married, or have kids.

I’m noticing that I haven’t completed nearly as many of the personal aspirations I thought I would have marked off by now.

Wait’ll you reach almost-60. My “future bingo card” has barely had any boxes marked at all.

What can I do as a husband to help my wife feel better? Leave her alone? Go do activities together?
