Sadly this is poised to probably be worse than the previous given that Trump and Republicans keep adding fuel to the fire. We’re literally just starting to see the tip of the iceberg and they are continuing to charge forward with the policies that are causing the economic crisis.

I’m a laid off web developer who worked as a Government Contractor for four years. I’ve been looking for a job since April and I haven’t received a single phone call about a job from a human. I have over ten years of experience.
I’m in constant anxiety panic attacks. This is leaps and bounds worse than looking for a job during COVID.

probably also f’ed in the bio/research biotech too(it was pretty bad before pandemic). even if he decides to reverse course on all the doge cuts, people arnt keen to get rehired in someone as fickle as trump.
Lost my nice data analysis job last year. Now doing AR and AP at a local business which is way more boring…and pays less.

Americans are really quick to make you hate them. They consider themselves intelligent and educated and call Trump stupid… but instead of starting riots and saving America, they peacefully watch as fascism is further expanded. Knowing that people are being abducted all the time etc… How can you actually be so shitty. Because our media and news systems are already sensationalized and roughly 2/3rds is fear or violence based. Folks here get desensitized and the protests are suppressed so fewer can hear about them or find them.
Our social media participates and helps this fester, numbs people where they feel comfortable - my friends and family are here, right?
Americans are taught to be proud of themselves, always act positive.
Also since the social rights movement, we’ve been financially crippled more and more with each generation due to stagnation of wages and upward movement. This makes it more difficult to step out of your pattern and pause work or life to riot because you’re trying to have food at home or pay debts out.
Blah blah blah… Yes, people need living space, food, drink and security… so sit back and watch the show instead of starting riots. So that not only thousands die in the world because of America (Ukraine) but so that soon the great dying starts in America… then not only his generation starves no you make sure that the next generation will definitely suffer even more! You only become active when it affects you, right? Oh wait… that’s what you’re throwing at the Republicans… Oh so stupid but also accepting that with the knowledge that it significantly increases the probability of losing everything in the future… So your revolt only comes when you are personally affected… i.e. at the earliest at a time when you would then be abducted.
