Summary

Democrats should shift from attempts to remove Trump to turning the White House into a prison.

Trump has historically faltered under the presidency’s pressures, as seen during the Covid-19 pandemic, due to bad ideas and a lack of interest in public service.

By forcing Trump to address real issues—like economic crises, public health threats, and policy failures—Democrats can counter his “I alone can fix it” rhetoric.

This approach includes aggressive media campaigns and blocking GOP initiatives without significant concessions.

Yeah he doesn’t give a single fuck. “What, people are saying they have problems? Sounds like someone should tell them to shut up–I’ll be on the golf course. Let me know when Daddy Putin shows up, I gotta grease my asshole this time so it hurts a bit less.”

    aggressive media campaigns

Yeah that’s not going to happen, based on the last year. The Dems rolled right over within hours of the election. Journalist won’t even press the guy. Lord Bizzaro isn’t going to face any consequences and he’s got at least the next four years to do anything he wants.

I don’t think this will actually work. First time around, it was Trump and a bunch of morons he liked because they said nice things to him or had big tits. The actual staff who were used to running a presidency and who were trying to run a presidency were the ones who wore him out because there was no one else to go to.

This time around, I think Trump is going to do jack shit, but he’s brought so much corruption and vice with him that he doesn’t have to leave the golf course. There’s an army of more capable monsters flooding the government now, and they have Project 2025 as their playbook.

The DNC gonna try that whole resist bullshit again? Claim resist out of one side of their mouth while giving him everything he wants out of the other side. Democrats are a fucking joke, they have no power when in the majority and none when the minority. Theyve enabled our current level of fascism.

Here is my (slightly off topic) rant.

Until the left gets a charismatic, intelligent, slightly bombastic, and passionate leader to inspire the population to truly organize and put pressure on the leadership nothing will change for the left - or it will change for the worse.

The progressive left has been leaderless since Bernie lost the primaries. He is still fighting but I feel like the left has abandoned him, and a few others, to carry the load. There is no leadership to inspire progressives to help lift his and other progressive leader’s messages up. There is no “news maker” that can get the ideals of the progressive left out to the public. And until there is someone to take up that mantle the corporate Democrats will do fuck all other than complain a bit, because they don’t feel any pressure to actually do anything substantial.

The neo liberal left is perfect content with having absolutely no pushback or pressure. They’re still trying to get Republican voters to like them for some reason.

I would say that they are not just content with it they are actively undercutting attempts to build a strong charismatic leader from getting a foothold.

Like that will work. He thinks he did a great job with the pandemic. Stop testing and your numbers go down. It’s easy.

Trump has a narrow majority in both chambers so hes going to held hostage by numerous minority interests in his party. He is going to be largely tied up in republican in fighting once the honeymoon period is over. Expect lots of accusations of traitors in the republican party and threats to remove republican opponents.

He will do some of the work for them but the dems really need to focus on fixing their own party and listening to voters. I’m not sure the party leadership get why they lost even now.
