NATO only works if its credible nuclear threat is intact. It’s up to the French and UK subs armed with SLBMs to hold up the entire alliance when putin’s bitch decides it’s not worthwhile. It is not guaranteed that we can hold off a madman, though I think the odds are still in the West’s favor.

We really must destroy the Russian state through all means short of kinetic warfare. This includes, perhaps most importantly, immunizing ourselves against the blyats’ disinformation campaign, as well as strengthening our sovereign and international civil societies.
